Up is doing pretty well it seems. Understatements aside, after winning two Grammys, a Golden Globe and being nominated for a Bafta, Up has now been put forward for the best original score award at the Oscars. Other nominations include Beltrami's & Sanders' "The Hurt Locker", Horner's "Avatar" (again) and Desplat's "Fantastic Mr. Fox". The Oscars provide the ultimate test and the winner will be announced on 7th March. Fingers crossed! Edit - 8th March - A huge congratulations to Michael on winning the Oscar! STAR TREK REACHES #1 IN ITUNES CHARTS Something that rarely happens with "music inspired by" albums, let alone score releases; Star Trek has reached #1 on the US iTunes album chart. The only other top 10 albums in the soundtrack genre are Hannah Montana The Movie and Twilight, so it's safe to say there's no other competition! Let's wait and see how long it can hold the top spot!
